Brian Austad is mostly self-taught when it comes to Web Design, Graphics, and Photography, but has a strong background in computers and networking. He attended DeVry University and graduated on the Dean’s List as a Electronics Technician.

After graduation he worked for Oce-USA as a Digital Technical Representive. During his time at Oce-USA, Brian represented over 70 clients including: Cap Gemini Ernst and Young, Cosmair Inc / L’oreal Paris USA, The New York Times, PriceWaterHouse Coopers, Bear Stearns, The Blackstone Group, and Cravath Swaine & Moore. While working in New York City, Brian began his interest in Digital Photography and Adobe Photoshop. He furthered his education and graduated (Dean’s List) from The Chubb Institute in Network Engineering and Data Communication, building on his background in computers.

Living in New Jersey, and commuting to the city by train, Brian was able to use that time on the train to continuely study. Once becoming proficient in Adobe Photoshop to edit photos, he turned to learning more about graphic design and ultimately web design.

Shortly after graduating from Chubb Institute, he began another course. This time it was the New York Institute of Photography. Here Brian learned how to develop a photographer’s eye and rounded out his digital skill set. He also joined of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

In 2004, Brian left Oce-USA and took his hobby to the next level by starting Austad Productions. With the attitude of creating high quality work and providing good customer service, Brian has continued to grow his business. While running his newly started business, he found time to take classes at Raritan Valley Community College, building a background in Art and Graphic Design, Multimedia, and Business. Entered in an Art Show, he won Graphic Design Best-in-Show and Note Bene 2009 for his American Pyscho bookjacket redesign. His photos have been published in Student Filmmaker Magazine (7/08 & 9/08).
